TRC...b4 and after the ONA tour ! question , when did u get it ie;.. when did u start 2 appreciate the album ?
i got the album at the time of release and i thought the songs were great !, but i thought the segues/feast spoiled the album. i listened 2 it through headphones and i was absolutely blown away POW ! thats when i got it.but still hated feast !!!, then when i saw trc live on last years tour the album was cemented 4 me a classic p album !!! every1 keeps going on about the new band being a jazz outfit,i think they r a funky jazz outfit ! trc muse 2 the ... the work 1+1+1 is 3 family name the everlasting now were all better live and real FUNKY ! and made me love the album even more ! a few folk have said they were turned on2 the album after the gigs ie;.. there copy of trc was on the shelf collecting dust. then after the gigs it was a case of, trc on the cd system and pumping up the VOLUME !!! SO MY FELLOW ORGERS WHO GOT IN2 TRC B4 AND AFTER THE TOUR ??? ps i still hate feast !

It had me from the listen. I wonder if it had anything to do with hearing it for the first time on a nice comfy couch in Paisley Park's gameroom?? I loved the album, not crazy about the lyrics but I was almost jumping up and down with joy that Prince still had a great album in him. And seeing the ONA show just made me love it more, although I think She Loves me 4 Me should have been played more.

! about 3 months after release..I had only had the download on cdr from the club...and never cared for it really9U2 was out at that time). I finally broke down and bought the release and the sound difference was considerable..it was "warm" sounding etc like Parade feel..then I was hooked at the cohesiveness of it etc. "Climb in my fur."

i gotta agree paisley park sofa !, beats the headphones hands down !!! I remember I waited up late when NPGMC posted TRC and started d/l right away. Got up at 3:00am and it was done downloading, so I burned it and sat up and listened to the whole thing again and fell in love with it. Then I went back to bed with Everlasting Now on repeat.

I loved the tour and everything, but it still didn't have me reaching for the cd when it ended! Maybe it was the whole live experience!
