Yeah Emancipation is the bomb. Only problem is that the album is too long. It should have been a single album.
My fave tracks are: Sleep around Dadadada My computer The love we make Style We gets up Emancipation One of us (although I'm not religious at all) Get yo groove on The jam of the year | |

Ahhh, finally some luuurve for my first ever Prince experience. First album I ever bought, and everyone talks trash about it. Shame! 
Mr Happy Face Down Emale Jam of the Year Emancipation. There's some brilliance interspersed with some tripe, but overall I believe the good outweighs the bad. | |

I think the main problem with Emancipation is its consistency
Everytime a good song or 2 goes by a 'Damned If  Do' or 'Da,Da,Da' gets thrown in
and your left with an album that doesn't flow too well which is a shame really 'cause the majority of the songs are very good, and a great double album coulda easily been made out of the most impressive tracks fave tracks: Right Back Here In My Arms White Mansion In This Bed Scream

I don't know how anyone can say an album/cd is too long  , but I do think there were a few songs that we could've done without. On the whole, I really enjoy all 3 cds. | |

For me it's his second best album of the 90's. I've always loved it. There are a few songs that I don't like very much (We Gets Up, Damned If I Do, Mr Happy, The Human Body, Da Da Da, One Of Us) but the majority puts me on  . | |

Some great songs are on it, but its a terrible production. All these synths and drum computers take the life from the songs. I wish he would have recorded it with REAL instruments like TRC. Then I could actually listen to it. "Peace and Benz -- The future, made in Germany"  | |

how could any1 who claims 2 b a fan not like this album ? jam of the year right back here in my arms somebodys somebody get yo groove on sex in the summer one kiss at a time soul sanctuary joint 2 joint the holy river saviour friendlover... face down style the love we make emancipation 3 disc set , a bit o everything thrown in 4 good measure ! 4 GREAT COVERS !!! i'm happy with this album the way it is ,but if it was shorter it coulda been a spiritual album like LS/TRC theres enuf emotional/heartfelt material here 2 give u that special PRINCE feeling !!! some amazing lyrics on, the love we make, face down ,holy river, soul sanctuary , style. this is the 1 album, just goes 2 show p, cant pls all the peeps all the time ! over produced who f**kin cares its 3 discs longgg!!! what do u want blood ? !!!, i'll settle 4 the sweat and tears !!! style is ali's jab ! style is hailing a cab ! an u kno , givin em the finger when they pass u ass !!! show some love 4 EMANCIPATION ! | |
