If I Was Ur Girlfriend Sampled On New 2PAC Compilation Might be late on this, but figured I'd post it just in case. The new 2PAC compilation by DJ Vlad, Dirty Harry, and DJ Green Lantern, called Rap Phenomenon II, uses the If I Was Ur Girlfriend sample throughout the song Reputations. If anybody knows how to get it accessible to those that want to hear it, let me know. | |

He uses it on another unreleased track, which I think is one of his best, entitled "Thugs get lonely 2". It samples the live SOTT version of the track. Silence Speaks A Thousand Words. | |

DJ QUIK sampled bits of Darling Niki on ALL EYES ON ME by Pac. Also 777-9311 was rearranged on the same album with Pac saying "if you really wanna fuck with me I'm ready instead of the title. To Sir, with Love | |

Are you sure they're samples? Could they not be re-recordings done especially for the purposes of use in these songs - P doesn't normally allow clearance of samples.
Or are these unreleased bootlegs, in which case they could well be samples. | |

Just slightly off topic, that tune from Jay-Z w/Beyonce also has some words from "If I Was U'r Girlfriend", sung by Beyonce. This may be old news, but I just picked up on it yesterday evening. I obviously don't listen to Jay-Z often.  Walking alone in the dark, I see nothing u see
