Prospects are looking good!

- A world tour
- A 7CD box set
- Possible remastered release of Purple Rain on DVD (and who knows what else)

Who else is getting the feeling that Prince is headed BACK to the top! (not that he ever left, it's just that people chose to forget about him!). Ever since The Rainbow Children, I've felt the quality of Prince's output and his popularity have been growing slowly but surely. I don't know, but things just seem a lot more positive than they did during the prince era. Who agrees?

I think things are looking very positive. Although it might not be my cup of tea with releases such as NEWS, Prince for me becomes the artist that he has been going on about since the mid-ninties, i.e. free. I expected all kinds of different music, released with no commercial care in the world when he first started his NPGMC and it's taken three years for this to happen.

I guess that over the years he / his team have been learning a lot, like who to use to produce CDs, how many to press, where to distribute them Archway / Musictoday etc and hopefully now he is doing things better which allows us to hear more music quicker and for him generating some cash.

SO in summary I really looking forward to whats around the corner (although I never expect to get hold of much in the vault)

erm - who said so ? this is just one date in HK and a handful in Oz

- A 7CD box set

...of previously released material. And anyway, how many times have things been mentioned on NPGMC only to never see the light of day (Roadhouse Garden / re-recorded WB albums, etc)

The key word here is "possible". Anything that does come out will be from WB anyway, the only people that could release some Prince material with some real marketing.

This might all some very sceptical however I've been a Prince fan for far too many years to believe some of the pseudo marketing bollocks that comes out of the "yes men" that Prince is surrounded by.
