"The Life Of The Party" The song featuring on the current setlist, 'Life O' the Party' is also the title of a Jackson 5 recording (as well as that of many other works). Has Prince announced that this is a new song he has composed, or is this a current assumption?
Is anyone able to rule it out as a cover of the song recorded by the Jackson 5 (featured on their album, 'Dancing Machine' from 1974)? Listening to the song, none of the lyrics seem to match those above. It's also got a funky Prince sound to it. I don't know how everybody knows that this 'new' song is titled 'life of the party', becuase the title isn't obvious from listening to it?? Perhaps somebody got the name from an official set-list from one of the concerts? Life it ain't real funky unless you got that orgPop. | |
