I wrote him 2 tell him about an X-Boyfriends musical talent!
We were both HUGE prince Fans!!!

I wrote a few, but I know my mum never posted them. She thought he'd reply and a 24 year old man was an inappropriate pen-pal for a 12 year old girl.

I replied to a similar topic yesterday with my story... and here it is again.

When I was 13 or so, I wrote to him expressing my condolances about the baby. I also wrote that I bet $5 he doesn't read his own mail anyway so I was wasting my time, and that if he did read it he'd be sick of reading fan mail. I actually got a reply saying something to the effect of:

'Caroline,

Well u owe me $5 because u bet money I don't read my own mail. Why wouldn't I? It has my name on it!

It wasn't signed (it was the symbol era) but there was a little green stamp in a heart shape that said "love 4 one another" and it had an NPG catalogue in the envelope and an NPG gold sticker on the front. Nice.

When I was 12 years old back in 1993, I sent Prince a letter tellling him how bad I wanted 2 meet him and that him and his music meant so much 2 me. A few months (seemed like years!) later, I got a post-card promoting the Controversy magazine, and a giant microphone gun (from the album) that said "Welcome 2 Europe". My dad took the poster 2 an air brush artist, had the picture air brushed on my purple jean jacket, and then left the doggone poster at the shop. When he returned 2 go and get it, the guy "claimed" it was stolen. Never saw it again...

I wrote him a letter recently,, to date, no response. If i get a response i might tell u. I sent John Blackwell an e-mail, thanking hime profusely for giving me a pair of his sticks. He sent back an e-mail "your welcome". I would suggest that you send the demo to Mr. Blackwell for a better response.

Yes I did I sent him copies of my poems, which I used his Songs in the poems. Never got a response though. But it was something that triggered in my mind that he got them because on the New Power Soul Cd he did the same thing on the song "New Power Soul":

But then again he also did this in the song "Push" from Diamonds and Pearls. And I mailed the poem out in '95. So who knows.
