I have to admit that I never particularly cared for 'Batdance'.
Mainly cuz it isn't really a 'song' as such, it's just a patchwork of samples and pieces of other songs. It was a last minute addition to the album, and was originally intended only as a b-side, a kind of musical sampler for the album. Just like '2 Whom It May Concern' was to the  album. It only
made it onto the album cuz Prince thought 'Dance With The Devil' was too dark and depressing as a closing track. | |
