Loved the book, but was saddened by it. Prince has really wasted his life. I think about the parts where Prince goes to all these great countries, but sticks to hanging out in clubs. Why not see some sights? Walk in the woods? Prince has turned into a sad man. All you others say Hell Yea!!  | |

I think Prince is a unhappy person trying on different skins to see which one fits him best. I must admit when i saw him at the One Nite Alone tour he did seem the happiest i have seen him. I wish he would authorise a biography and let someone who is not connected in anyway live with him for a year and do loads of interviews. Then we might get a good insight. I agree that it seems that with all of his success, much of the time he has been unhappy. I'm glad you ordered the book because in my opinion it is worth at least a read. Its funny, because you and I both know that the only way Prince would authorise a bio would be for him to have 100% control of the content. He made a lot of great music when he was hanging with his childhood friends like Ande Cymone, Morris Day, and Brena From Vanity 6. Even when Wendy & Lisa came into the picture, he was supposedly more grounded, having bar-b-que's and softball games at his home. It seems that the more he distanced himself from normal activities, the more he became abstract and less understood  | |
