but prince DOES have an accent, you can here it on some of the lovesexy rehearsals, and nude tour rehearsals.

one of my friends was in the car when I was listening to a rehearsal, and he asked, "who's that talking, it sounds like paul schaffer"...

Hmmm, I always thought that little "accent" that Prince uses when he plays the cop was done purposely just to make it humorous.  But I could be wrong. 
As a side note, I've noticed that people in Wisconsin seem to have accents similar to those of people living in Minnesota. Has anybody else noticed this?
