Tick Tick Bang Appreciation Thread

"Tick Tick Bang" has been receiving a lot of negativity on another thread and because of it has been feelin' mighty low. To make "Tick Tick Bang" happy again let's all show our love for, what I feel is, one of the funkiest songs on GB.

Good Thread!

I know this songs takes a beating from many.

My favourite Prince is when he completely breaks the mold. This is one of those songs.

It sounds like NOTHING else. How many people can do that???

Mitch Mitchell. thumbs up!

But yeah, I'm not afraid to say I like this track.
The production is so dense, and chaotic.
You don't hear everything at once. Repeated listenings
is what you need to give it to find all the intricacies.
It's controlled chaos.
This post not for the wimp contingent. All whiny wusses avert your eyes.

The performance of it on the Graffiti Bridge movie is fierce! The best part of the movie! I miss that Prince.

The original is PURE PUNK FUNK! Freaky stuff I hope he releases on a remaster/rerelease of Dirty Mind.

This is one of my faves off of G-Bridge. It's under-appreciated here by most. Maybe because it's about him flingin' his man-goo. I dunno.

How 'bout Elephants And Flowers? That song is no throw-away either, purple people.
If prince.org were to be made idiot proof, someone would just invent a better idiot.

I have loved 'Tick Tick Bang' since I bought Graffiti Bridge on release day...

It's such a fun song and it's dirty..which I always like...It's one of my favorite parts in the movie as well...I just watched GB the other night just to see this very performance.

Dija know this song dated back to the early 80's...1981 I believe to be exact!
Every minute of last night is on my face today....
