Transferring vinyl

Just finished transferring my W&L Eroica vinyl to cd! Took a bit of poncing about, cos the stupid bloody program doesn't actually record the audio initially, it just cleans up the file. Had to record it through my arsey cheapo soundcard first, then edit it, then clean it up then burn it. Took about 4 hours, which I'm sure will be less for the next go. But it sounds pretty fucking good. And the best bit - CDDB instantly recognised the burnt disc, so I must have got the breaks right!
Only bummer is that I tried to do my family LP first, which hasn't even been out of the dustcover for 15 years, and the fucking needle was skipping! Got to go to a phonograph shop tomorrow and see if there is any swanky cleaning gumf that can sort it out.
Will T Cut work?
Oh, got to do all my Prince 12" next, then Sheila's first 3 LPs, Vanity 6 then another 3 W&L records. Then I can sell the bloody LPs!!
All orgnotes and emails requesting trades or how to acquire bootleggage will be ignored. - The ThreadKiller -

I feel for you. I remember when I first transfered my ATWIAD 12" singles. I had the Sopranos on the TV in the same room, and their words picked up on the needle in the blank bits.

Had to do the whole lot again!
