Stevie Wonders super Funky keyboarding inspired Prince's...

...Ryde Devine and 1+1+1=3.

Listen to Stevie TEAR IT UP on "What's That You're Doing" which is on Paul McCartney's 1982 Tug Of War album and you'll know what Im talking about!

It a duet with Paul and even HE reaches the Funk!

If you listen to Stevie's synth vamps you'll realize where Prince got that from. Even the beat of Ryde might have come from that!

Listen closely to Stevie's fingers, it's pure Funk.

How could Prince NOT be inspired by Mr. Wonder? It shows up more in his live stuff as of late, I've noticed.
If prince.org were to be made idiot proof, someone would just invent a better idiot.

Anxiety

Paul could be funky when he wanted to be...listen to his vocals on "Why Don't We Do It In The Road" from the white album...it might as well be on Dirty Mind.
