I guess this is why I think it's too much. I'm not here to nag anyone, but here it goes.
The "artwork" implies that the entire set is a load of crap. Prince put a LOT of work and heart into the music that will be given out. Songs like "Avalanche," "Pearls B4 the Swine," "Empty Room," etc. obviously mean a LOT to him. To release art to the masses that is so personal takes more courage than I could muster. To imply that it is all crap is like saying that all of his deepest emotions and feelings are crap too. That's why I think it's insulting. Prince puts a lot of work into what he does. I respect him for that. Now, you might be saying, "Moonbeam, I've seen you rip apart other artists before." This is true. I'm not above admitting that I can be hypocritical. But trust me, I'm working on it. The older I get, the more I realize how much time, effort and courage it takes to release music to the public, and even more so to release such personal music. Who am I to say that someone's deepest and most meaningful thoughts and emotions are crap? OK, so I have no sense of humor. That's another thing I'm working on.
