The whole album is good it's just a shame that it got wasted on such a commercial endeavor. From an artistic standpoint anyway.   Proud member of Prince's cult for 20 years! | |

"The Future" is amazing! I was hooked on this song from the first time I played the album.I love that pulsing beat. and the hypnotic feel of this song.I really think that this song would have made a fine single,and could have been really popular in the clubs.The lyrics are cool too...

If I was Prince I would of done it a bit differently...
Side A The future Electric chair I love U in me Partyman (Long) Vicki waiting Side B Trust Lemon Crush Sex Batdance (Batmix) Dance with the devil (On second thoughts I don't think that would fit on vinal) Scandelous is wonderful but I'm not sure it fits the album. The Future was released as a single in Europe in 1990 and became something of a party favourite in my college. The remix, which emphasised that "pulsing beat" to the max was made by Mark Moore, formerly of S-Express. . "You don't frighten us, English pig dogs. Batman is one of my favorite Prince albums. It's the first one I owned. And "The Future" is my favorite song on it. Still one of my top 10 Prince songs. The beat, vocals, sound effects and strings are amazing. | |
