Awws...

We have some demo keyboards available where I work (Toys R Us, which sucks.), and earlier today there was a little girl trying to play Purple Rain and then The Glamourous Life. It would've made my day, but almost immediately afterwards I was bitched at because some hag's expired coupon wouldn't work.

But it was still pretty cute. Her parents must be Prince fans.

woot! dancing jig That's cool that the little girl likes Prince music, but not cool that you got bitched out because an expired coupon would not work.
RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.

Heeheehee... Well, today's my last day at the place so I didn't have any problem with just telling her to fuck off (Although I did it in a somewhat polite and non vulgar manner, but normally a situation like that causes way more trouble than it should.)

Not easy to play either. Next time tell her that Diamonds and pearls is dead easy to play on keyboard. If it has a Demo button which brings on a repetative beat she could also do Bob George.

Are you sure you didnt go up to her and say "Are you trying to play Purple Rain " and she agreed reluctantly to get your attention while her parents robbed the till ?

Unfortunately my attention was robbed by the bitchy customer, so I didn't get to congratulate the girl on her taste in music...

Another weird Princey thing happened to me tonight, this woman was filling out a tax exempt form and her name was, honest to god, Tracie Christopherson! Pretty damn weird.

I am trying to indoctrinate my 3 year old, so today I bought the Aladdin DVD for us to watch (it was raining outside and we had to cancel our fishing trip) and he loved it and at the end I asked him "what is that man's name?" and he said "Pretzel!" he smiled and then corrected himself "Prince!" (this is the kid who called Jesus "Jeezel").

i have some firends of mine that i am very close to and got indoctrinated into the family as the honorary unlce to their kids.

they have never understood my love of prince or bjork.

so one day, i was driving their sons Joshua and Daniel to see a pixar movie with me (i think it was bugs life... this was years ago) and put on the muppet show version of starfish and coffee and joshy and danny LOVED it!!!

every time they got in my car the requested it.

drove their parents nuts, cause they would sing it around the house all day to their parents who were not prince fans. at one point their mother (valerie) called and jokingly yelled "STOP TRYING TO TURN MY KINDS INTO DISCIPLE OF THAT PURPLE MIDGET" at me...

mr.green

God...no kidding. It sucks sometimes - I had a customer screw her reciept up in2 a ball and throw it at me the other day - and this was after running around my store like a headless chicken 2 locate an item she wanted.

No thanx, nothing - she just threw something at me. brick
