isn't it freedom of speech though? i really am not sure on this but i would think he could lmit the use of his trademarks, such as the symbol, but i don't think he could actually tell us to not talk about him. he's a public figure. surely that would hold some weight in support of the org

What did he accomplish from his last round of lawsuits against fan sites? Nothing. If anything, all it did was draw bad publicity.

U know what, i don't think he would shut the org down, even if he could 100%. because its basically what keeps his ass alive.

He does it to others for examples and because he thinks they're expendable.

Prince loves it. u know prince likes people talking about him.

If he did, I think Ben should rename the .org,"The Webiste formerly known as Prince.org." Seriously, I often wondered how this site survived the witchhunt that was started against all websites that were dedicated to prince. I would think Prince to have had this site in his crosshairs, especially if he was to ever vist and read a couple of the threads that were started in the Prince forum. Shit if it was me I would've shut this place down a long time ago, well at least the forum dedicated to me. Hell if I would let someone toss my name around like that on a daily basis in a public forum.

Don't sweat it. Prince.org is very careful about the content we permit on the site, and we don't do anything that violates Prince's rights or copyright. Only one person can shut down Prince.org, and that's the guy who owns it (Ben). Fact is, the Org remained despite the infamous Prince / Londell McMillan fansite witch hunt years ago, for the simple reason that we took steps to remove problematic content (such as people advertising bootlegs) and added appropriate disclaimers on our site.
