Around the world i a day hass it all. Remember it was his first album after Purple Rain and he could have made a fortune if he made an album just like it. It suprised almost everyone. Temptation gets good after you heard it several times (read the lyrics while listening), around the world in a day is great at first hearing (eh, it was to me). Beautifull piano in Condition of the heart, i must have listened to that song for a thousand times.
And then you know what the fuzz is about at concerts when they start Raspberry baret... After ATWIADay you could go on with the rest, Parade etc. Some poeple think Controversy is the best, but they are still living in that period. When you hear it first now, you'll hear an aged album. | |

"One Night Alone" but no "Dirty Mind" or "Controversy"? Wow! I think ONA is the one album I've still been holding out on. I would get those then go in order for the rest. "Around The World In A Day", "Parade", "Lovesexy", etc. I would get "Come" back too. A personal favorite. I'd see if you can ditch both "Hits" CDs and get the box set ("Hits/B-Sides") becuase the B-sides are fucking amazing...in some cases better than the hits! | |
