I guess we dont need 2 debate whether he's a JW any more, right?! I think its great he doesnt feel "above" all the others that are "hitting the pavement". I give him ( & larry graham, as well ) lots of credit! I dont feel its 4 collecting money as much as passing the word, as theres no pressure 2 donate ANY moneys to the JW'S, unlike OTHER religions that put the basket in your lap the minute U walk in. They also GIVE U FREE books 2 read on the denomination. No, not just the "watchtower" but hard covers. I'm NOT saying the "JW'S" are MY choice 4 "the word", at least not with EVERYTHING they believe, but prince obviously is completely "into" it & I think no matter what others feel about his choices, I think he's setting a very exsquisite EXAMPLE by doing this "door 2 door" part of the religion, even though he most likely cant do lots of it, like larry g, because of his very full "plate" right now. But I think he eventually will get into "preaching" more & more as he ages, as it has & always will be a huge part of his life. It will just get more passionate for/with him, as he will try 2 share with others the happiness & truth he claims 2 have found. How can one assume otherwise? He shared his life with us through his music, so I think he will try 2 share his beliefs even more also, however, 4 ones who are really adamant against the denomination etc. he should "let it be" and accept the ways others "choose 2 live, without animosity towards anyone. People can be GOOD people, exercising their own beliefs, whatever they may be. The most commonality he can expect from ALL the fams is the LOVE we ALL have 4 HIM. That will always be a SHARED thing. As soon as he converted me to his religion (which he COULD NOT) he'd change it. Like Zappa said "Shut Up and Play Your Guitar". This shit's gettin' outta' hand. I want no part of religion. Herb4, dont 4get that prince had very sparse human contact with others bcuz he DID have some emotional problems in that area, also he wanted a cloak of mystique surrounding him, AND people ( yes prince ) do change as they mature. U dont have 2 have ANY part of ANY religion. It was PRINCE & LARRY doing the "door 2 door". U will STILL have his music, and its still VERY funky, indeed! And IF prince changes his choice of religion in the future, no matter what, he will still be VERY passionate about God and his teachings. Maybe he'll decide 2 get his beliefs out 2 others in a DIFFERENT way like this, or taking up preaching in his "own" church 4 those that R interested, instead of trying 2 preach on the stage between & during songs, however I assume when the feelings strike him during a specific song, or his thoughts flow with/to God, he just has 2 get the "thoughts/inspirations out...2 his fan base. I think he'll find a better way of doing that than on stage soon, as it antagonizes so many it seems. However it seems like he already has, as he doesnt say ANYTHING 4 the MOST part, of late. U cant JUST want him 2 interact with the fams, leaving an important portion of his life (religion) out. Thats just not prince. So now he's silent. 4 now only, I hope. PEACE...
