I don't know...I can't tell if this is about Mayte and Prince losing their child...or if its about them being together as a couple. I know some of Prince's lyrics are very hard to decipher sometimes, but this is all in good fun...

Damn if that doesn't fit a Mayte scenario though..the fate and destiny part he described as him being destined to marry her "thats going to be my wife" talk etc...

I 2 think its about Mayte. But not of loosing the child but of conceiving the child. Very, very beautiful song. He wrote some beautiful songs when they were 2gether. That's why I love "Emancipation" so much.
