The Gold Experience is my favorite and perhaps the best as well after Lovesexy.

Heck- I'll give ratings out of 10 to the albums after 1988:

Batman- 8/10
Graffiti Bridge- 8/10 (would be higher without the non-Prince tracks)
Diamonds and Pearls- 7/10
prince- 9.5/10
Come- 8/10
The Gold Experience- 10/10
Chaos and Disorder- 6.5/10
Emancipation- 7.5/10
Crystal Ball- 10/10 (I don't count this as a "proper" album after 1988 since some material predates 1988)
The Truth- 7/10
New Power Soul- 2/10 redface
The Vault: Old Friends 4 Sale- 8/10
Rave Un2 the Joy Fantastic- 9/10
The Rainbow Children- 8/10
One Nite Alone- 9/10
Xpectation- 5/10
NEWS- 8/10

For the most part, I think Prince has had a great career since 1988. Call me a "fam" if you wish.

how many albums has michael jackson released in his career?

surley prince is entitled to a few average albums out of the long list.

Gold Experience, Symbol, and One Nite Alone for me...

Hell, The Vault was great too, even though it's pretty much just a compilation

...and Emancipation Disk 2...

Look. He's in my avatar, big fucking deal, Fact is IMO MJ still releases more enjoyable music than Prince these days.I can actually still enjoy Invincible. Where the hell is my copy of TRC, you know what? i don't give a shit. I played NEWS 4 times and still hate it.Despite that, i actually like Prince a little more as an artist than MJ.Prince has released some godawful shite since his career went tits up in '93. 2 or 3 great songs per album is his story since then.

What he's been doing these last two years only he can tell you, but in my book Prince is fast becoming a class A fucking bore. As i've always said i'm an 80-88 man, i don't see that changing. The last relevant thing P did was TGE, and that's a long time ago.

.

'80-'88 is my fave P era as well. But I consider '97 (The Truth) the last time he made a decent album.
