I'm a bit confused here. Did I miss something-did Prince write Musicology? What's the link between Outkast and PRince? Fill me in-haven't been in here for a while.
Thanks:) | |

That seems like a pretty fair description to me. Of course, I only heard the song once, and I wouldn't say that I didn't enjoy it...but it was high on the NPG cheese factor, no doubt. Not something I could see being a hit song, but what the fuck do I know? U mean the same cheese factor that has dogged the NPG for many a year? Like all those cheesy fuckers, Tommy Barbarella and the like. Oh, please god. No more synths, and no cheesy choral chants.

Een ezel stoot zich niet twee keer aan dezelfde steen. A donkey doesnt hit himself two times on the same stone. It seems Prince is trying to hit himself the tirth time with a desperate move to be commercial. Well let's hope it will totally flop...one year later Prince will say: i dont care and give us the same good things like TRC live...ONA..ONA live..NEWS...Xpectation... So people..don't buy it...just let it be a total failure..it will be the best possible way of getting good music out later...(just imagine if NPG or Rave would have been hit albums..we would still got the same stuff out...thanx 2 god that that didnt happen) And when he makes a TRc quality album, people will still moan and groan... Besides I like Northside- it's a cool track... Northside is awful! Crap, unimaginatve production, and not enough real music. Just crap, programmed sounds.

Wow... hands up for people who have heard the final cut... Why the speculation... why the beating before the fight... Can we wait and see what happens? If you want the new album to be a mainstream hit, you will make the album a mainstream hit. _________________________________________

Believe me, as soon as people would hear that Marva King start vomitting over the track people would cringe and switch the song off... At least I do, it could have been a good song if he left off that tonedeaf Marva King wench... Neversin. O(+>NIИ<+)O

For Prince to make a hit, like somebody said it would have to blow your mind. It would need to be better than The Love Below because he doesn't have the cred Andre has with mainstream music. To do that he'd probably have to clean house-- get rid of Larry, Mani, Paisley Park etc. Basically, he'd have to reinvent himself and I doubt he wants to do that. The only thing that would make him do that is his ego...
So there's always hope. [This message was edited Wed Oct 15 7:37:46 PDT 2003 by whodknee]

I really hope this is like those Live at The Aladdin DVD threads that said it sucked. It turned out I was very pleasantly suprised when I finally saw it...Hopefully Musicology is better than what I am expecting after reading this thread.
