I'm a bit confused here. Did I miss something-did Prince write Musicology? What's the link between Outkast and PRince? Fill me in-haven't been in here for a while.

That seems like a pretty fair description to me. Of course, I only heard the song once, and I wouldn't say that I didn't enjoy it...but it was high on the NPG cheese factor, no doubt. For Prince to make a hit, like somebody said it would have to blow your mind. It would need to be better than The Love Below because he doesn't have the cred Andre has with mainstream music. To do that he'd probably have to clean house-- get rid of Larry, Mani, Paisley Park etc. Basically, he'd have to reinvent himself and I doubt he wants to do that. The only thing that would make him do that is his ego...

I really hope this is like those Live at The Aladdin DVD threads that said it sucked. It turned out I was very pleasantly suprised when I finally saw it...Hopefully Musicology is better than what I am expecting after reading this thread. | |
