But do you really want Prince to sound like he did in 1986? I know I don't, I want him to develop and evolve as a recording artist. I think that's what he's been doing all his career, it's just that some changes haven't been very good changes IMO. I *would* like to feel about his new out-put the way I feel about his past out-put, but I don't - I personally think that's what people mean when they hark back to the days of yore - We want music that makes us feel the same way that the old music did, not necessarily wanting the music to *sound* like the old stuff, but we want it to have the same impact. Thing is, can any artist do that? I dunno. I'm happy to see Prince go any way he wants to, but just because I follow his music career doesn't mean I am gonna like everything he churns out, and it DOES give me the right to critique it when I don't like it. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

I like where Prince is at musically, but sometimes I just want to hear that old funk every once in a while and U know U do too. __________________________________________________
