Australia? The only decent music that ever came out of Australia was Crowded House, and they were from NZ.

I said "decent" and u said Savage Garden. Ahem, apologies, they just got on the list cos I was wracking my brains for every oz band I could think of. Well, Nick cave is amazing. Love his music! Yeah, agreed. I just saw him last week, solo show. Brilliant. He was really on form, but I've seen him other times and he's better with the full band. What a voice, though. And I'm going to see Loudon Wainwright III tonight! Can't wait. Lemmy, Bowie, Prince, Leonard. RIP.

Kylie ??? Oh yes, The Church & Powderfinger, both faves! How about the highly awesome Split Enz (or is that too coming under the NZ banner?). Not to forget: Hoodoo Gurus, Baby Animals, The Badloves, The Whitlams, George, Killing Heidi, Johnny Diesel & The Injectors (!), Gyan, Iota, Boom Crash Opera, Jimmy Barnes/Cold Chisel (apparently huge in Germany?!?!) plus heaps heaps more... (Holly Valance anyone... LOL!) Indeed, it's a mad musical world down under... And by the way, - what, no mention of Rolf Harris?

Speaking of decent NZ music what's the deal with Supergroove these days? Are they still around and kicking?

Now that you mention Split Enz I'm confused, was it they who became Crowded House, or was it Nu Shooz ? And by the way, - what, no mention of Rolf Harris? Indeed, how could we have forgotten! He deserves his place on the list for his cracking version of Stairway to Heaven. Who could ever forget that... Lemmy, Bowie, Prince, Leonard. RIP.

Standout hits for them (IMHO): I See Red, Late Last Night, Matinee Idyll, Another Great Divide, I Hope I Never... oh, okay, I'll stop otherwise I'll name every track they ever made. Crowded House nicely followed suit. Did you see the Farewell To The World concert at Sydney Harbour when they split? (End of '96, I think). It's really a must, even for casual fans only ... Mmmm... Rolf. Stairway has never been quite the same since, has it?
