JavierAlcalde	About the song "7" Who are Lowell Fulsom and Jimmy McCracklin, co-writers of the song? Did they really co-write the song, or it's only Prince took a sample of their song "Tramp"? Only the music, only the lyrics, both?

Finess	Fulsom and Mccraklin wrote the Original song Tramp. Prince Lifted the break from the song and by Mentioning them as co writers being that the sample is over the 8 bar limit, the sample was Cleared,Bought and paid for [This message was edited Wed Oct 8 15:51:48 PDT 2003 by Finess]

JavierAlcalde	Have you heard "Tramp"? I love "7", but it's a very repetitive song, can we consider it's really different from "Tramp" or not? Was it necessary to take the sample?

LOL, ive been a dj for over 25 years yes i own the original and the one by otis Redding and Carla Thomas.all thats there is the bass and drums breakdown everything else is added on. as i stated before he lifted the break
