Has Anyone Ever Got His Autograph? (Not At A Record Store Signing)

cool Has anyone ever saw him somewhere & actually got close enough to ask for an autograph? If Yes, did he respond?

He was approached in a soundcheck by a NPGMC member during the European leg of the ONA tour in October 2002 and asked for an autograph. From what I could see (but not hear), Prince politely declined.

in the early 90's i met almost all the npg levi, michael b, tony-kirk-damon, t barbarela morris hayes etc. prince mayte and diamond + pearl never mingled with the fans either at gigs or aftershows. i asked the game boyz if they could get p 2 sign my ticket at celtic park gig , they said symbol didnt sign autographs. i also asked morris hayes and tommy b on the gold tour if p would autograph my tik they said it was more than they'r job was worth 2 ask !

ive been close enuff a few times at aftershows 2 ask , but u r told not 2 pester him b4 u go in , so there is no point asking , as i suppose we would b pestering him !

i was really unlucky in the early 90's eileen murton from controversy fan network sent me a letter 2 give me the option of going 2 london wembley 2 c p in concert , i had 2 decline her offer as i was already booked up tickets , travel etc . i had booked up with a glasgow agency.

low and behold the travel arrangements eileen was organising should have been my choice !!! as the coach was contacted and told 2 go 4 a meet and greet with prince b4 the gig , seemingly he was great really chatty and friendly he signed autographs but no personal ones i think ?..

so dont talk 2 me bout f**kin autographs

I've never known what the attraction to autographs is. It's just a signature. Unless of course you plan on selling it at some point (something that annoys many athletes, actors, musicians, etc.). But for me it was never a big thing.
