Back in the day, how did Prince perform tracks like Head or Automatic?

I've only ever seen videos of electronic fuelled songs like these so I'm curious as to how the guy performed them on stage. I'm talking right-back-in-the-day when he was pimping these tracks prio to or just after the album release.
Considering the instrumentation I've been brought up with (dating from the DnP tour sad to say) I wondered if Prince used the same level of rawk/jammism when giving Head or Automatic etc. - or did he use loops and stuff?

Just curious!

cool, maybe I'll take a stroll down P2P'sville. I've only got Small Club, and I managed to burn the tracks in the wrong order on disc...disbelief lol

Sorry Prince, but Jimi seems to think it works better with your teeth.

And City Lights is ALL soundboard.

Might I also recommend the boot Jack U Off? Another excellent document of early Prince at his rawest.

Worth it just for Annie Christian.
