Has Prince lost his passion for music? I'm only asking cause 'Musicology' is being touted as his next release, but this was being talked about probably a year ago on here. Don't mention NEWS cause that was cooked up in a single day, i remember reading somewhere.

Trust me NEWS was not cooked up in a day. The main recording may have taken place on a particular day but alot of work before that day and afterward went into the recording. Anyone with ears can hear that. As far as passion, that's exactly what i hear in TRC, Xpectations, and NEWS. | |

I dont feel he lost his "passion" 4 the music he makes at all. I feel he just is on a "different" path with it, just like he is with his "life". He writes what he is feeling/living & usually the inspiration he gets from whoever/whatever plays a lg. part at THAT time. His "makeup" just seems 2 flow from him at times hes making music. But it seems very highly unlikely he will EVER lose the passion 4 his art. He works & plays too hard at it. Its also the "place" he goes when he needs 2 express himself, whether its in a spiritual, sensual, emotional, creative sense...thats why we get TRC, ONE NITE ALONE-PIANO, TRUTH, N.E.W.S, etc. It's HIS way of expressing himself & geared 2 whats going on in the mans life at THAT time, IMO, that he shares with us, as well as his inner spirit... May the BELLS ring 4 U even when ur not in love.   | |
