What show(s )are these two videos taken from?

I had always heard the IWD4U/Baby I'm a Star video was from the Purple Rain tour stop in Washington, DC / Maryland at the Capital Center. There were like 9 sold out nights, but I remember when the video debuted the local video music show said it was from his DC performance.

I should know the answer to this... but is IWD4U the same in both the IWD4U stand alone video, as well as the version that includes Baby I'm A Star? Or were they 2 different performances?

(The former is on the Hits video collection, the latter was played on MTV back in the day).


Also, I have the 12 inch of IWD4U extended version which appears to be almost exactly the same as the standalone video, except that in the video, I think he calls out "Sheila" for the percussion solos, but on the 12" he just says "Accent!".

My recollection is that the 12" of IWD4U is from a rehearsal recording that was actually much longer than the 12" edit.

Was it overdubbed later or just different nights?
