Diamonds & Pearls Tour Just finished watching the Diamonds & Pearls show from Earls Court, London 92.
I forgot how freakin' well the guy can move!! The guitar on Thunder... The dancing on Daddy Pop... The dancing-on-the-piano on Delerious... The splits, the splits, the splits!!!

yeah that tour was incredible, all that flair and energy yet so precise with every note, it ranks at the top along with the SOTT tour.
I wish I was old enough to experience it live back then. -"If U don't like,
what U see here -get the FUNK out."

Ack!! I've never seen this tour! It's good, huh? I'm dripping. No confusion, no tears. No enemies, no fear. No sorrow, no pain. No ball, no chain.

Yeah, that was a great tour. He played a lot of tracks from
the then forthcoming "" album. I heard 'Sexy MF', 'Damn U', 'The Continental', 'And God Created Woman', '3 Chains O Gold', and 'Blue Light' for the first time on that tour. He used to play one or two tracks from over the PA before the show, and one or two tracks live during the show. It was a great 'full-on' commercial tour that really put Prince back in the mainstream. Ah, memories of my first Prince-concert in Cologne, june 1992. When he came out of the capsule during the "Thunder"-intro, I very very nearly fainted. The first time I saw the man in person. See the man with the blue guitar, maybe one day he`ll be a star...

I think it has. It was intended for a christmas video release that year or the following year. For some reason it was withdrawn. The "Live 4 Love" performance ended up on the "Diamonds & Pearls Video Collection". Could be wrong though - anyone can correct me on this. Sorry,
I've been to the D&P-tour in Dortmund ... and decided to sell my tickets for the Rotterdam shows ... Yes .. IMO it's the most commercial and distasteful tour ... Should have known in advance .. the album is a drag too! As a fan ... I'm truly ashamed of the D&P-era
