If Princes back catalogue was reissued..... With B sides outtakes etc do U not think that it would kick start his career again?
I look at Princes back catalogue and it's pretty much unrivaled. If those classic albums came out again with better packaging (I mean restore SOTT's inner sleeves 4 a start!!) it might make people realise just what a great artist we have in our midst right now. If Prince could get over his problems with Warner he could make a lot of dollar and new people would discover his music. mine!

Elaborate Dansa! in the state that music's in nowadays, most folks would care less about a revamped back catalogue from prince...well, save for folks like us i suppose.

i dunno...i think there is interest in Prince. he wouldn't be selling out 12,000 seater venues if there wasn't interest in him.

with enough promotion and prince's cooperation, it's quite possible. ~KiKi

What I mean is that if P's back catalogue was reissued there would be a big review in the press re-evaluating each release. So folks would think 'that album has been given a 4 or 5 star rating cool I'll buy that!' U can't review SOTT again (from the perspective of a journalist) unless a reissue comes out. Most major artists stuff has been reissued. It's criminal IMO that Prince's stuff hasn't.

Of course it would, but Prince is stubborn.
He already has a built-in audience for his 80s music, and it goes beyond the hardcores. That's why his old music still gets airplay. I'm not aware of anyone who achieved the type of status he did that didn't see a revival of interest in their remasters once they were reissued. æ [This message was edited Fri Oct 3 19:50:19 PDT 2003 by Supernova] This post not for the wimp contingent.
