Okay, my idea of excellent tracks to remix some with mention of a dj I think might work it over real nice. (They are not any kind of order) 1. High 2. Head - Lords of Acid 3. Shockadelica 4. Human Body - Danny Tengalia/Sweet Pussy Pauline 5. Melt wit U - Jonathan Peters 6. All the Critics love you in New York 7. Sister - Club 69 8. Rock n Rolls Alive - 9 inch Nails 9. Something in the Water (Does not Compute) - Eveything but the Girl/Massive Attack 10. Gangster Glam 11. Return of the Bombsquade 12. Irrestiable Bitch 13. Darling Nikki 14. Viloet Blue 15. Lovesexy or Positivity 16. Love Sign 17. Adore (Acid Jazz mix) Others have alluded to the possibility that The Human Body is amateurish / not house or techno / not very good. All of which may be true, but ain't it better than 90% of the handbaggy crap we usually hear in clubs? Even today if a dj mixed it in it'd sound fresher than most of the coma-inducing guff we have to endure. Even if Prince doesn't 'get' techno this isn't a half bad effort. Imagine asking Springsteen to do a funk-out, or MJ to do a jazz instrumental - I would love to be wrong on this but I suspect if they ever head in those directions that the results would not be nearly as good as The Human Body is (as a foray into an unknown genre). Apart from all that The Human Body is a kick-ass song for deconstructing - very clipped and nice sharp breaks. I'm currently having great fun chopping it to bits and murdering it (just for my own amusement). Hilton, I love the idea of an Acid Jazz mix of Adore, although I'd give Sometimes It Snows In April to Nine Inch Nails, that'd be a challenge! Oh yeah - and Fat Boy Slim could do things to Darling Nikki - if he hasn't already. While we're at it, why not give N.E.W.S to the Chemical Brothers and see what they make of it!  Lemmy, Bowie, Prince, Leonard. RIP. |

And another thing... Prince DID create his own sound, despite his diverse influences. I listened to Sly, Parliament, JB, etc. etc. before I heard Prince.
