The entire 'Chaos And Disorder' CD is great fun.

I reckon he's embarassed about Mountains. As much as I love this track, he's not played it live since 1986. Considering it was a single, you'd have thought it would have made an appearance now and then.

With the humongous size of his back catalogue it's not surprising some quality songs occasionally get demoted into oblivion.
But Prince does have a habit of bringing those back into his live repertoir, so never say die.

Witness examples like 'Elephants And Flowers' and 'Gotta Broken Heart Again' from the last tour.

The Cross?

hmm Do you mean because of the JW/stauros thing, or because you think it's a bad song?

No, I love The Cross. But first he changed it to The Christ ('cos he read that JC wasn't crucified), and I think 'cos of the JW thing he might not feel the same about it anymore.

Whatever anybody says, the live version of 'The Christ' from the Essence awards is off the hook and the amazing fretwork at the end is probably the best showcase of a blistering, pyrotechnic Prince guitar solo.
