PRINCE DANCE TOUR?

After reading all the reports on the upcoming world tour, I am so excited to hear that Prince will be playing the hits one mo'time...

So whats the setlist?
Rumor has it that Prince and The Band will turn the show into a dance party! with no gimmicks.

PRINCE racing through his incredible catelog of dance hits and pop songs.

Sounds fun!

So will this be a return to form without the new jazzy PRINCE?
and he's coming to the states in the winter/spring!

can't waite, is there anymore inside info we need to know about???

Well, for most of what was said above, the info is in that link in the "Prince is a sell-out" thread...I dunno about the "coming to the states in winter" stuff, other than it sounds logical (which means it probably won't happen).

Yep.

What do we know?

Prince has lined up Hong Kong and Australia dates. He'll say 'hello' for AUS$1000. He's added to the group line-up.

Beyond that, the rest is flam, froth and hype, until he appears on stage. Non-stop dance hits? Rumour. Playing the hits one last time? Maybe. maybe not. The start of a World Tour? Look forward to reading about the itinerary.

Meanwhile, why bother speculating? He's announced his retirement previously, declared himself dead to the world, announced the release of handfuls of albums, sampler sets, and videos which never emerged, and described tour features in the past which vaporised.
ALT+PLS+RTN: Pure as a pane of ice. It's a gift.

I've noticed that whenever an artist says they're going to be playing certain songs on tour "for the last time", it means anything BUT that...cuz once that cash flow starts to dip a little, "1999" is gonna start sounding REAL nice to ol' Purplepants.
