awright...all the time i've been postin on here i haven't told of my fave performance, so i'ma do it now: durin the houston '82 concert, y'know the little piano bit he does right after he plays that teensy bit of "with you" and right before "hcudcma"? i love that for some reason, it's just cool to me.

Old concert--I think the Purple Rain tour--he had his shirt off (well, that narrows it down, right?) and did 'God' on piano, then went into the bit with special effects..."who screamed?!!"..."was it you?!??"

Lovesexy tour! Man, he was going up & down scales, and playing all the classics. I also loved the audience participation. Holland was really into the man's music.

Definitely the studio version of the ONA song. That is a brilliant piece. Gorgeous subtleties. In a couple of hundred years historians may discover that Prince's lyrics were written by Christopher Marlowe. | |

There are a few moments on ONA, particularly the title track, Ure Gonnna C Me, A Case of U and definitely Avalanche. All these tracks are brilliantly performed, and perfect for the solo piano style. | |
