w/b's will surely cash in on pr ie; dvd movie and some sort of re-master cd.

if prince does try to do something he'll get slaughtered ie; accused of cashing in.if he doesnt he'll still get slaughtered for doing nothing, HE CANT WIN THIS 1 !

Just giving us the original, if he did nothing else after that, warrants forgiveness for any "sins" against his listeners, real or perceived. I'll never carry grudges against P, I just tally my disappointments and move on.

Is it really too much to ask for...

***a remastered 'Purple Rain' CD with bonus tracks

***a new DVD filled with all types of extras (deleted scenes, commentary, interviews with the cast, videos for the singles, etc)

This really wouldn't require too much effort on Prince's part,so why can't he do it? A career-defining project like 'Purple Rain' deserves to be celebrated on it's 20th anniversary.

They would have released a 15 Year anniversary thing in 1999, and promoted it in conjunction with all the publicity he got in 1999 with the song 1999.

Good call. I just swore I would hear 1999 everywhere that year; but, I can could the times on one hand.
