I was thinking about the post about the interview where Wendy & Lisa was saying that Prince has not released any of his Best stuff from his most creative period. Could this music be better than anything ever released in the 80's? These songs are supposed to be still in The Vault.

Unfortunately, the reason it has not seen release probably is that Prince does not want it released. He probably thinks that it doesn't reflect the JW believer he is now. If he remains a JW, I doubt it will ever see release - certainly not without lyric changes.
As he has no apparent heirs (children), I bet he'd rather destroy them than leave them behind. Who knows, he might have destroyed some already that conflicted with his current beliefs.

That song is so obviously about Susannah Melvoin. The lyrics you refer to probably has more to do with his fucking around and being around to haunt (or "taunt" as in the case of this song) her even if he should die (because the songs he wrote will still be around?).

Anyway Prince probably will put them in some1's hands and they will be sold accordingly to the way he wants them to be (probably put some1 in charge of NPG if it's still going) and sell them like a regular CD thruogh there. Since he does release some boots like Slplash & the High album and stuff, im pretty sure he wants sum stuff 2 get out his system.

But like he said, when he's done with a song, he's done, he gets bored with it, and it collects dust in the vault. Im pretty sure he wants us 2 hear them, but in time...
