OMG...I was watching my old VHS tapes the other day and I saw the Batdance video. I am straight up loving it! "VICKI VAIL! VICKI VAIL!" That is the jammm!

i remember when all the tracks from the batman soundtrack first came out and were played on the radio..."partyman" and "the arms of orion" were the shizzz...

all this and brains, too!

okay, so it's hokey, but it's fucking awesome. pretty innovative and it really kicks ass (well, the song anyway).

if my memory serves me right p wrote the ten tracks for the album in 10 days warners rejected 100 balloons and it ended up b side to batdance, prince got to do the soundtrack cos jack nich.. stated at the time get p for the soundtrack as he thought p would be perfect for writing songs for the joker. he also said the set had a certain p feel !!

i remember being really dissapointed the single only reached nr 2 in the uk.

I never liked the Batman album for some reason. I mean 'Batman and Prince!' two of my heroes while i was growing up and when it came out, it felt like it sucked! especially after Lovesexy.

Batman is a marvellous album. It's true that probably a failured experiment, but not in all songs. Batdance is an increidble mixture, is very innovative and I like the lyrics, the guitar solo and the atmospherte.
"Vicky Waiting" is my favourite track. I have no words.
"Scandalous" is one of his best ballads and the lyrics are great.
"Partyman" is too long, but the first 2 minutes are very very good.
"Lemon crush" is the worst.
The others are quite interesting and I love "Trust".
