Mine is Strange Tales From The Rain Promo...it's my baby. Don't know ... don't wanna sell anyway ... When I bought Let's Work / Gotta Stop in the late 80's the Prince-stuff was much more valuable than nowadays ... I'm glad I didn't have to pay that much. I didn't realize that the peach vinyl was worth anything ... found it in an ordinary shop long after I completed my 80's collection and stopped collecting the new stuff (don't worry ... I don't own every single item ... I just wanted one release of every B-side / extended version) I've never held the "Strange Tales From The Rain Promo" in my hands! | |

The rarest thing I have is a japanese copy of the Black Album, which isn't really rare at all.
Oh, I also have this old Anabas picture book from 1984 my sister gave me that I think might be signed by him. She said she didn't remember if it was, but it says "To Angie, love Pr" and the rest had been rubbed off. So it's either a gift from someone else with a PR in his name, or an autograph. ~ I'D BUY THAT FOR A DOLLAR ~

One time P. and I got roaring drunk on a bottle of ripple. In his drunken state P. signed over all his masters to me on a piece of paper (fortuntely there was a lawyer and notary public present as well as two witnesses). I contact to the NME mate, and this is his answer: There is no official promo CD of Diamonds and Pearls with Schoolyard. As far as I'm aware Schoolyard never got any further than a rough cassette demo of current tracks that Prince made in December 1990 (If I remember right, the album hadn't even been named 'Diamonds And Pearls at that stage). Personally, I wouldn't even class this sequence as an early configuration of Diamonds And Pearls, as Prince had quite obviously thrown the tracks on a tape together with no real thought about the running order. The tracklisting for this cassette was as follows... 1. Daddy Pop 2. Walk Don't Walk 3. Schoolyard 4. Strollin' 5. Willing And Able 6. Diamonds And Pearls 7. Insatiable 8. Money Don't Matter 2night 9. Horny Pony 10. Live 4 Love 11. Something Funky (This House Comes) 12. Call The Law 13. The Flow So if there is a CD of this sequence of tracks, it must be a bootleg / fan-made thing, as Schoolyard was almost immediately dropped from the running after this. | |
