I bet it will be the front cover of the tour booklet. Also, it wouldn't surprise me if P used it in his next CD artwork. Who was hired to take this pic? Does anyone know? Interesting opinion. Why do you say that no "casual" ticket goer would go to the concert based on that photo? I mean, what, in your opinion is wrong with the picture? And what would you recommend? i have to agree that the photo doesn't exactly entice the audience. i know he can do what the f/ck he wants. cool. and i'm sure the shows are going to be excellent. but they (Clearchannel / prince) are advertising the gigs as 'see the hits live', so it's safe to assume their targetting the non-fan masses. Therfore the photo is way too serious. It doesn't scream out 'live etravaganza', 'the purple king is in town, check it out..', 'see prince half naked shag his microphone stand and then grind the female dancer..' not hating on Prince, just pointing out the picture as a marketing tool could be better. your point is well taken. and from a marketing standpoint, i tend to agree with you. but there's also another way of looking at this. i think the picture speaks of honesty. i see the picture as prince's way of saying "i have matured. and if you think you're coming to see the 'rude boy' prince in a purple trenchoat and bikini briefs, you are sadly mistaken... i'm someplace else now". so if anyone wants to go see prince and his band perform some great live music consisting of his back catalog of hits, this is it. but if you're coming to see prince make a spectacle of himself, then don't bother. so i say, at least he's being honest. Agreed. I think we can safely say the show is going to be as you described. I think Clear Channel are setting things up in a different light (read their Press Release), and the public may be left a little dissapointed. IMO

[snippage! flame removed--Dansa] Prince looks fine, nice suit, combed hair. What else does he need to do, stand on his head playing his guitar to please some people.
