damn why can't Prince contact me I am jealous of anaji. I would love to speak to Prince.. just about music... and nothing else...
His music and the music business. People pay attention: check out Pearl Jam, Frank Zappa, Ben Folds, and ween all who do great things for their fans. When I first got back into the Prince game after being so frustrated I picked on some of the subpar music released. Mostly the guest spots on albums and crappy subpar rap style jams that sounded like imposter funk. Still hate hot wit u and freaks on this side with a passion. I guess what I want to know is: Does Prince want us to continue to care about what he does? If so then he can no longer ingore our "needs" as fans. If he wants to make music for his own personal archives then fine. We, I mean the hardcore fans who buy everything regardless with the hope that it repeats the feeling that originally made us trek miles and spend costless cash to collect deserve better than we have been given, can live off our old boots and albums stop fussing. I mean cryptic messages and the forever dangling carrot is just not enough. So why do I hang around? I appreciate people like Boris who amazes me with his/her depth of knowledge. That is the stuff that gets me scrolling for more... All those tracks and possible gems to research... Who played on what, song info, recording info, that's what makes me tick as a fan. Maybe one day Prince will see he can continue to grow or go in different directions while releasing archives. He can please himself creatively while also supporting us like we have done for him. Music is the best... | |

Do people really believe this crap?
If I were corresponding with Prince, or I suppose ANY celebrity for that matter, the last thing I would do would be go and blab about it on a fan site, especially for the sake of "leaking" new so-called information. Think about it, people. | |
