i only just started to listen but this is almost as good as hearing sign 'o the times, lovesexy and the black album in the same year and that was my introduction to prince!

"The Work Volume 1", The Work Volume 2" and the "Studio Nights" ...

How much money and respect would Prince earn if he churns out something like that for a reasonable price, with excellent customer service, so that every fan and FAM in the whole world would buy it?

What quality are the mp3s on Testament?

I downloaded Revelation, but it was all 128kpbs.

don't know exact spec, quality wise, as it only plays it in a dvd player. sounds pretty damn good to me. i think there's almost 50 hrs over 2 dvd's but i don't know exactly what that works at out in terms of mp3 quality.

what's revelation? how many tracks?

Is it not broken down by year like Revelation 2.0 is? This set (and Testament, which preceded it for me) rekindled my love for the music in a way I didn't think was possible...and if it hadn't come along when it did, I may have never heard it, cuz the club this year has somewhat poisoned the whole "legend" in my eyes.

Anyway, amazing fucking stuff -- and if Prince ever released this stuff, I'd call the MPLS Star Tribune and retract my quote. In other words, he never will, unfortunately.

Oh yeah - try not to give Ian a hard time about enforcing the no-soliciting-for-bootlegs rule...it's not the Org's fault, it's Prince's. They're only trying to keep themselves from being sued or shut down. Just sayin'.
