When Vanity left the 'Purple Rain' movie project before filming began,Prince and his managers held auditions to quickly find a new leading lady.One of the ladies who auditioned was actress Jennifer Beals,who at the time,was red-hot because of her role in "Flashdance".

What do you think? Do you think Jennifer would have made a perfect co-star? She's pretty and was well-known at the time,and she can act.Well,not sure if she's a great actress as I haven't seen "Flashdance" in years...lol...

LOL...I saw Jennifer in a recent movie called "The Last Days Of Disco" and she was really tall and skinny.Maybe it was the heels or something,but she just looked really tall.I'm not sure if she could have played Prince's love interest,unless she wore flat shoes in the movie...lol

i don't think i would have liked jennifer beals to play that part, she just doesn't seem to fit the part of prince's idiot girlfriend
