I was told a while back..no..chastised and damn near slammed against th e wall by an npgmc moderator asking "how many times ar eu going to mention a namecheck?! Huh! answer me!" like that. I told them it was semi all in fun etc, byt they were miffed

I don't want them to tell Prince Im a freak (the bad kind) or like Michael Jacklsons' Billy Jean to wach out for...hell I dont want Natasha notoriety

I just want a name check is all. He gave others a namecheck in ONA Live booklet..I gave a glowing review as well (not to a ) but it was not on his site. In that review I had to battle a bunch or at least one major naysayin ding dong for damn near etermnity..and Ive done ti before in hostile places..so imagne my amazement when some said he was putting some folks name in the booklet..I thought my review or part of it would be there but alas it was not because it was not posted on his site. I was very dissappointed.

So thats why I ask for one and kinda want one..it would be cool to show friends after all these past 21 years that my name was in a Prince album liner note. I gave classes and schooled folks during parties etc on Prince leaving them with a greater knowledge of the music when previously they did not even appreciate the man or music etc...and inothe rplaces got lamblasted for it as well..I just want a namecheck so I can say "see this here?" and finally rest. I wonder if I might make a petition for a namecheck. I dont mean him any trouble it just would be a cool thing to have.Will itr validate me ..no? would it be a cool souvenier(sp?) , hells yes

Technically he didn't give anyone a namecheck... he just used excerpts of the reviews they had posted to his site... which by virtue of being posted at his site, he had the rights to use.

With Prince the magic is never planned. It's a you-have-to-be-there-to-benefit kind of thing. His one-off performances, aftershows, even the celebration. It's just a thing that is usually not planned so folks for the most part can't position themselves to benefit unless they are always there.

Same with the namecheck. It's cool that you have defended him over the years all over the place. Many have. But until you engage HIS site, you're not even in the running mayne. That's how it works. Like anything else, you gotta be in the game if you want to win. And even then you're not guaranteed to win. Hopefully you would at least have had fun playing tho
