Prince has covered many songs -mostly live.

All of the above, have been performed live over the years. Just search the http://www.guide2prince.org/ site to find examples of when they were played.

Yeah that would be a bit strange. Funny because when I first heard the end vocals to The Rainbow Children, where the lines ascend when repeated, it reminded very much of musical from the Hair / Godspell era!
