"Prince", "The Truth" and "Diamonds & Pearls" are some of his weakest albums in my opinion. But the absolute worst must be "Emancipation":

The Black Album (very, very, very overrated!)
Batman (Party Man is a cool track tho)
0(+> (ok, but not 2 many good songs)
Gold Experience (I am not a fan of this album, I have only listened 2 it once)
One Nite Alone...Live (this CD was 2 xpensive (over £50) and some songs only last 4 about 1minute, even less in some cases.
The Rainbow Children (Shes Loves Me 4 Me is the only song I like on it)
N.E.W.S (not worth the £11.99 I paid 4 it)
The Valut (no real good songs on it at all)
Rave Un 2 The Joy Fantastic

I think Prince should take time on a CD and make a great album rather than recording so much and making average records.

His last good record was Emancipation, but most of its best songs R spread out over the 3 discs.

NPS, although I like some of the songs. I don't get why people are listing "Controversy." The title track alone makes it worth staying out of the basement. It's a top 10 Prince album for sure.

Now NPS is one of the most pathetic Prince albums. He tried to sound so commercial and to be played on the radio stations. It's not even proper music. It has nothing to do with art.

I like or love each one of those. I can understand NEWS not being everyone's cup of tea but I like that one too. Agree with Symbol but Rave, I think gets slammed too often...there some real good tunes on there.

I don't think that Rave was all that bad. I liked "The Greatest Romance", "Hot wit U", "I love U but I don't Trust U"; "Man O' War" is my favorite off the album. But, Different Strokes for Different Folks

I wasn't enthousiast about Batman
Grafitti Bridge was a disappointment
Diamonds and Pearls is a greater disappointment
the first three tracks on were alright, the others are unlistenable ...

but the album that made me decide to stop buying a new Prince album was Chaos and Disorder ...

So ... I'm glad to say that I don't know if Chaos and Disorder is the worst of them all!

I truly can't understand anybody who listed anything before Batman ... so the new shit is better???

For You - despite its good production, the songs are so weak it sounds like a bunch of demos.

Chaos & Disorder - Not a proper album really.

Emancipation - It sounds even worse through headphones.

Rave - Actually this has had a bit of a renaissance in my house lately. I see it as a bad album with some decent songs on it (I love u but i dont trust u, tangerine, pretty man)

Let's see, I guess looking back on it, I'd have to go with NewPowerSoul. At the time I thought it was pretty cool cuz 1) A new Prince CD was always something to look forward to 2) His video for "The One" was cool and 3) I had expected some magic, as usual 4) His releases coincided with his veteran team, Chaka Khan and Uncle Larry.

But now I just think that album was just hype and not something groundbreaking. I mean, I cringe now when I hear stuff like "Freaks on This Side:
