I'm putting together some of my favourite Prince songs on CD and was wondering is there anywhere out there a kind of radio edit for Mountains on CD (w/o the 40 or so seconds at the end)?

There's all sorts of versions
I have a 9 minute version
+ there's a slightly different version at the end of 'UTCM'

Thing is I have most of his stuff on CD and haven't found it yet

What about the version on the 1993 UK Hits Singles (can't remember if it's Peach or Controversy)?

Failing that, just fade out the .wav file in your favourite editor such as Sound Forge or Cool Edit.

There wasn't a single edit of Mountains.

The single version was exactly the same as the album version
which is 3:58. The only difference is that the album version
doesn't quite fade off totally at 3:58 as it slightly overlaps the
beginning of Do U Lie, whereas the single version has completely
faded to silence at 3:58. This version was released on CD as
one of the b-sides on the UK cd single of Peach (cd1).
