Did Prince ever do a version of "1999"....

...as beautifully as PM Dawn on their CD "Jesus Wept"?

I kinda like how they took the song and broke it down and made it real smooth, Did Prince ever do it like that? Does a performance or unreleased version exist?

BTW - "Jesus Wept" would have to be PM Dawn's 'Rainbow Children', every song is great!

I agree, that album is great. It's very musical and creative Hip Hop/Rap album. They're very talented.
