Who do u NOT WANT 2 see induct Prince in to the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame

Hey Guys I see there's alot of discussion on who will induct Prince. But I want to know who U DON'T WANT TO SEE INDUCT HIM IN.

I'll cast the first stones:

1)D'angelo or any of those SoulQuarian derivative douche bags

2)Any contemporary R&B artist (moder R&B=rap & bullshit)
and that even goes for india Arie, Jill scott, Angie Stone, any of those boring singers

3)Lenny Kravitz-Not worthy.

I'd like to see a legendary artist who has experienced Prince career while in the industry, someone who was making music before him, & experienced how Prince changed the game/made a effect. Artists like

1)David Bowie
2)Stevie Wonder (although he did give him award already-so scrath that..)
3)Mick Jagger (cuz prince opened for the stones long time ago)

more along those lines...what do u think?

I agree with you somewhat. I think someone legendary should do it, but I do not want to see David Bowie do it. Nothing against Bowie, but he has absolutely nothing to do with Prince, no connection whatsoever (unless there's something I don't know about). I would like to see Carlos Santana or Janes Brown.

Madonna - Because I don't like her. I know that she and Prince wrote "Love Song" together, but that doesn't change my opinion of her. hmph!

Michael Jackson - Because he's too much of a freak. and besides, he's not worthy of it. nutty
RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.

Britney Spears. Everytime they ask her what music she listens to, she mentions Prince. I would literally puke if she was given the task. No joke. I'll seriously blow chunks.

wow, I never thought of her. I would puke too. They better pick someone good and not some pop singer that can't even sing.

I don't want:

Gwen... could handle Tony... since he is a true fan from day one.

no sheryl crow, or any guest artists

I would prefer to see Nile Rodgers, Clapton, or Lenny..

Since these guys have talked about the music the whole time... not about what his name is, dating , etc.

It would bring the house down if Sly Stone came out of hiding and did it...
Music is the best...

Ani Difranco would be good.

Not because of her music necessairly, but he can make a statement about artist rights, and who better personifys indie artists/counter corporate record industry.

And I know, I know-Prince is being inducted because of his WEA days, but its his moment & I think it would be ballsy to comment on the record industry.

As long as it's not one of them American Idol kids we'll be OK.

N-bloody-Sync did MJ.

I hope it's not Alicia Keys either, I think it should be someone with class, someone respected, and a musician.

I imagine there are a lot of modern artists who would love to do it (they've all been mentioned in this thread!), I'd like to see someone a bit longer in the tooth. Maybe Joni? Stevie?
