I was into Prince at 10 or 11. I liked the fact that alot of his lyrics could be interpreted in different ways. "Diamonds and Pearls", "Adore", "Pink Cashmere", and "Pop Life" turned me onto Prince. I liked the movie "Purple Rain"; but, I loved "Graffiti Bridge"!! I thought it was a good movie. He's just awesome!!!

My brothers fiancees' son is only 3 and he's gonna be a huge Prince fan. He already likes 'It's Gonna Be A Beautiful Night', 'Dance On' and other stuff. He also regularly watches the 'Lovesexy live' vids and when he asks 4 them says 'Can we have the man with no clothes on?'
He hasn't grasped that the man with no clothes on is Prince!
They're gonna have 2 be careful with Princes lyrical content soon though I spose.'Miss?'

They ask alot of questions about PRINCE, but they think he's so cool and fresh!!!

Been a fan since the 8th grade (I was 13) when I watched Purple Rain for the first time with my best friend and her dad.

But I heard my first Prince song years before that.

My introduction to Prince came when I was 6 years old, watching BATMAN.

So the first song I remember hearing is Partyman.

The soundtrack may not have been his best work, but I've loved it ever since.

What a cool thread! And even though I'm old, I know quite a few Prince fans that are under 25. I happily share the listening experience of my expansive collection with them.

It is also cool sharing the listening experience with people that are considerably older than Prince.

Prince is timeless, so his fans are not bound to age categories.

29 years of age, I am. I've been a fan since '94 I think. Growing up in the 80's I tended towards hip-hop and thought he was weird-- which he is. Not until the Gold Experience did I get seriously into his music. 1999, Parade, and Purple Rain cemented it for me-- I was hooked. Unfortunately, nobody I know is really into the music.

Anyway, I've been a Prince fan pretty much all my life. For as far back as I can remember in my life, Prince was always there to provide the soundtrack. I can thank my mother for that.
