DVD: POINTS WORTH NOTING Just finished watching it again. I find that final rendition of Sometimes It Snows in April incredibly touching. My favourite bit is probably the Strollin/U Want me part. Prince's smile has the power to lighten up the soul, its so genuine!
Here are some things i noticed !) Near the beginning on Pop Life, Prince leans over and looks like he's talking or giving directions and then he stands back up and continues but no-one is around, what is he doing? 2) I love the bit after the Ozzy impression where he does that scream then looks scared at the mic! (Btw its Osbourne not Osburn as he says) 3) The part where he pretends to cry before pass the peas is fun. 4) There is one part where he is cleaning the microphone stand and then he does the same motion on thin air...is that some kind of supersition? 5) Notice the electric blue cloud guitar in Whole Lotta Love I think, you can now buy those here in the shop. 6) U got to listen to the guitar solo in Push and Pull, its great. Thats also a great song which ia a highlighT! 7) Thanx 4 doing Pop Life. Shame there wasnt much Money Dont Matter, but Prince you are the man...thank u and the band so much!!!

Point 4 - The cleaning of the microphone stand in GABHA is then followed by him running his fingers down the crease in his trousers - not superstitious as far as I know, just wants to look good.

Point 5.1) The little 'walk' he does after finishing that solo in 'Whole lotta love'. And the look on his face

end of pass the peas when he says 2 the npg "i'm scared of y'all" minor keys and drugs don't make a rollerskate jam

In 'The Ryde': "I'm not tryin' 2 give u what u want... I'm tryin' 2 give u what u... neeheeed" and the wonderful guitar solo starts!

My favorite part is that really goofy-looking dance he does between "Strollin'" & "U Want Me". It gets me every time.

I enjoyed the DVD too, for the music anyway.

I figured this was just a reference to the days when he used to do his "microphone seduction" scene in his concerts. I always thought it was a bit lame, personally. 5) Notice the electric blue cloud guitar in Whole Lotta Love I think, you can now buy those here in the shop.
No, the ones on sale from the shop are cheap imitations made by Schecter. They look the part but they aren't the real deal. Anyway Prince has played electric blue clouds for many many years now. No big deal.
